Engineering Applications for Impulsive Multiphase Fluid Phenomena
Cavitation can be beneficial in a wide range of engineering applications including material science, cleaning technologies, food processing, among others. We develop:
- new ways to control cavitation nucleation and dynamics for a range of applications (e.g. sonophoresis, onset of ultrasonic horn cavitation)
- optical and acoustical methods as non-invasive techniques to generate flows
- optical and acoustical techniques for cavitation detection
- bubble-based methods for material characterisation
